Reduced heating efficiency and increased electricity consumption	Limescale and residues buildup inside the appliance	Descale using a toxicant-free descaler or vinegar solution. Fill with 3 cups vinegar, fill rest with water, leave overnight without boiling. Empty solution, clean residues with damp towel, then boil fresh water once and empty.

Water spills during boiling	Kettle is overfilled beyond MAX water level mark	Fill kettle only between MIN and MAX water level marks. Do not overfill as boiling water may be ejected.
Kettle leaks from base or exterior becomes wet	Water on exterior surfaces or base getting wet during operation	Ensure the base and exterior of kettle do not become wet. Switch kettle off before removing from base. Do not pour with lid open.
