| Airbag is active in the front passenger seat | The vehicle has an active airbag that has not been deactivated | Have the airbag deactivated at an authorized service center before using the car seat. Check that the indicator light in the vehicle shows the airbag is deactivated. Never use the seat with an active airbag. |
| Shoulder belt guides are too high or too low | The headrest height does not match the child's shoulder position | Adjust the headrest height by pulling the adjustment handle (H) on the back of the headrest up or down to one of the seven positions until the shoulder belt guides are level with the child's shoulders. |
| Safety belt is twisted or not properly positioned | Belt was not threaded correctly through the guides | Check that the hip strap passes under the armrests and over the red belt guides (C) on both sides. Check that the shoulder strap passes through the belt guide (B) and runs diagonally across the child's chest. Ensure the belt is properly tightened. |
| Backrest does not click into place | The hook part is not fully inserted into the opening | Place the hook part (i) of the backrest against the opening at the back of the seat and press it firmly into the opening. Gently move the backrest forward until it clicks into place. |
| Belt buckle gets tangled, pinched or wedged under the armrest | Improper belt routing through the seat | Ensure the belt buckle does NOT get tangled, pinched or wedged under the armrest as shown in the manual. Route the belt correctly through guides B and C. |
| Child's seat is not stable on the car seat | The car seat back does not have full contact with the vehicle seat | Ensure the car seat is placed with complete contact with the vehicle seat. Check that the backrest has full contact with the vehicle seat back. If the vehicle seat back is adjustable, ensure it is in an upright position. |
